I’m looking for some advice. I’m after a loud & Bassy soundbar to fit behind my bartops marquee (19” x 3”). For me sound is as important as the display on a cabinet. At the moment I’m using a Bose soundlink mini. This provides great sound but has to be turned on manually each time. Not ideal.
Ideally I’d like the soundbar to turn on when the pi powers up and to close down when the pi does OR to go into standby until it receives an aux input. OR is there a soundbar that I can turn on and off up and down with a remote? I did buy a soundbar with a remote but the soundbar still neded to be turned on manually (Doh!).
What soundbars are everyone else using? Does anybody know of a soundbar that fits this criteria?
Cheers

Still using a 2.1 system anytime I can get away with it. Every soundbar I have used was inexpensive and crappy. Probably crappy because it was inexpensive, but either way, I don't use a soundbar any longer.

Yeah the problem with sound bars is that making small speakers produce big, rich sound means that the speakers have to be really expensive. Therefore, almost all budget sound bars sound like crap. If you have the room some traditional car speakers with a small amp would probably work better.

Yeah I agree with Howard.
All the cabs I have built (including the 1 bartop I made) have been fitted out with a car amp and speakers. And they sound great.
