Hi!
For testing purpose I recently bring back to life an old laptop with gfx "ATI Mobility Radeon 9700". :applaud:
I tred to install CRT Emudriver 1.2b (Catalyst 9.3) with no luck, the package don't recognize the VGA chip.
Any hint?
Thanks!

Try the 6.3-based version next, and see what gives.
Older mobility cards can be tricky. I got an X200 working about five years back, which isn't even in the lists, but i can't remember if there was much screwing around. It might be the case that the RS480 chip is similar to the RV370 of the X300. Your mobility 9700 is an RV360, so you image it would work somehow- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_AMD_graphics_processing_units
I do remember i had to install the regular/omega drivers first for one card, not sure if it was the X200, then install crt_emudriver over the top.

Hi!
I tried the 6.3 but same result, no luck.
Finally I installed the oficial drivers thinking to use WinModeLines to create 15 khz modes.
Really I only need some modelines for testing, this machine will no be used for mame.
Thanks for your help!

Hi!
Finally get CRT Emudriver 1.2b (9.3) Driver installed and wotking forcing the "use disk" option, and selecting "Radeon 9600XT" card (RV360, same as mobility 9700). :dizzy:
Thanks!

Yeah, nice. I can't even remember what i had to do now to get mine working. It's like all the GPU's of this vintage are related, and if you find the right option...
Not that GPU's now *aren't* related, but still :)
