Title: Good cheap graphics card
Post by: charliew on February 07, 2020, 08:19:48 pm
Hi. I'm currently using a Sapphire HD6540 card in my setup. The only option is to use the native VGA port and I'm getting some video noise. I have connected my JPac directly to the output socket, no cable to get avoid any signal degradation but it is still visible. the DVI port is DVI-D only and can't be used with a passive adapter.

What is a recommended cheap card to get. I want a passive cooled card and preferably a low profile one.

Any suggestions?
Or is there a way o get rid of the video noise that I'm getting?
I'm using Windows 7 64bit.

I believe I had a radeon HD 5850 before upgrading to my R7 360 and0it was a great card with no noticeable issues.

If you are only running GM and do not need much power, the R5 220/230 are passively cooled and low profile.  If you do not mind a fan, the R5 240 can be had for $10-$15 on Ebay.
