Title: Car Speaker to RPI
Post by: spike32 on February 03, 2020, 02:49:48 am
Hi guys,

I'm trying to get these two car speakers I got for my arcade machine working but I'm having issues. First I'm hooking up the RPI to the amp with a 3.5mm cable. Then from the amp it connects to the car speakers using speaker wire. Sound works fine, problem is the volume control is done from push buttons. I wouldn't mind rotary control because it would be easy to just drill a hole for the knob to stick out of, but this can't be done for pushbuttons on the amp board itself. Any ideas the best way to go about this? Is there a converter or something I can buy? Or just another way altogether of working this out?

Thanks.

https://www.amazon.ca/Axxess-AALC-Controller-Discontinued-Manufacturer/dp/B003FPD3IS/ref=sr_1_6

wire this in (or something like it) set amp to highest volume you need... turn down knob.

search amazon/ebay/call local audio shoops for "bass knob" (typically sold as a volume controller for subwoofer amps) then POW right in the kisser!
