Title: RetroPad32 - Question on DIY RJ45 Cables for Retro Consoles
Post by: tus376h on January 24, 2020, 03:15:07 pm
I recently ordered Bruno Freitas Retropad32 with a handful of input and output cables. I did not order as many RJ45 output cables as I already have multiple console cables that I pair with an MC Cthulhu arcade stick. I'm looking to use those same RJ45 cables with the Retropad32 but I'm not able to find a pinout picture or guide for the Retropad32. If the pinout is different, I plan to rearrange the pins for compatibility with the RetroPad32.

I'm looking to find the proper information for the RJ45 pinout on Bruno Freitas RetroPad32. On his page he states that it's designed off the KADE miniConsole+:

Quote
I tried to keep 1:1 compatibility with the input cables and functionalities from the KADE miniConsole+ as much as possible, but there are some caveats, due to technical restrictions and some decisions I've had to make about the new hardware design:

- Dreamcast input cable has a slightly different pinout on the RetroPad32 adapter

- The RetroPad32 adapter is not compatible with Atari analog paddles

I found a zip file with pictures on how to create DB15 input cables for the miniconsole+:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6zru_SYfdYbbHlTblliTDY4Wlk/view

But I've had no luck finding similar diagrams for creating the RJ45 cables for consoles. I did send Bruno an email around a day ago so I do look forward to his response.

Here's a .zip containing the miniConsole+ console to DB15 pinout images.

Pretty sure it's the same file that OP linked to.
