Title: Rowe CD 100F Julebox Volume Spikes when song start
Post by: retromusic on January 18, 2020, 08:09:28 pm
When the first song starts is louder than the normal volume is set to and it then fades to the proper volume after a few seconds.

I have read another person had the same experience and tried to follow the notes.  The service manuals which I have for the CD100F talk about Mech Control 61086201 P6 pins 7 (Mute) and 9 (AMP Ref).  The Jukebox has a 61048101 installed which does not have a P6 connector.  Can someone provide technical assistance with my issue?

Thank you.

in the middle of the amp between the EQ's is a plug and to the right of that is a 2 switch dip switch.

one switches from mono to stereo...

the other enables or disables AVC.  (automatic volume control)

flick that switch down to disable it.

My Amp is a 61024901 and it does have a dip switch located in the opening.  I toggled it downward and powered the CD100F back on but it has the same issue.

Has the amplifier been re-capped yet?
