Happy new year geezas!
I hope it is prosperous for you all!
From my POV I feel its going to be a good year, For the first time in a great number of years I have a positive vibe going into the new year.
May it bring you peace, love and happiness and I will see some of you in a few months time! :)

I went to a grocery store today and discovered the amazing world of after holiday clearance. I actually kind of felt bad for them. Highly recommended. Maybe I’ll start rescheduling parties for January 2nd.

I guess it's just me then. I wasn't making fun btw, it's just that I recently had to re-create my Mii for Mario Maker 2 (something I hadn't done since 2007) and that was on my mind when I saw the post. As for the sales.....Oh yeah man, that's the best time to go. I went today. :) I've also been circling the carcass of the last surviving Kmart in WV..... They've started selling the mannequins and store furniture.... I'm eyeballing a watch display case that would be perfect for my portable systems.

Went to a friend's New Year's party. Got drunk. Crashed on his couch.
Tomorrow I am heading up to Minneapolis to pick up a Star Trek upright.
I am going to meet up with Vigo since I will be in the neighborhood. Every time we meet up something weird and awesome happens.
The first time, we got drunk with two dudes that could have been genetically engineered using Beavis and Butthead's DNA. They were hilarious.
The second time we were drinking at a barcade and girls started spinning around on silk hanging from the ceiling.
Full speed ahead in 2020. More games, more parties, more booze, more fun.

- Wife had to get a port due to her veins collapsing after all the years of infusions
- Some dumb ---smurfette--- side swiped my truck. Almost had to total it.
- Had to put my dog down due to liver failure
- Almost put my cat down to an unknown illness. He bounced back.

Starting off the new decade with a trip to Starfighters with my oldest son. Got my pinball fix and ended the night at Arizona’s only White Castle. I survived so I must be good to make it through the new year.

Happy new decade doods! Thanks to the folks sending me PMs of concern about the fire situation here in Australia. My family and I are fine, we live in a relatively safe area when it comes to fire risk but we are close enough to high risk areas to have smoke blowing in and fouling up the air. The areas that we vacationed in last year are badly affected, good thing we stayed home this summer! It seems like only the other day I was watching all the news of fires in California and wondering if my BYOAC friends that live near there were affected.
This year I'm going to do some certification to allow me to work in training and teaching in my vocation (Information Technology). I picked up my new student card the other day and have to say I'm quite excited to be returning to study again.
Heh, for Christmas I got the coin plate I wanted for my Pac-Man project. Chuffed about that. :cheers:

Happy New Year, mate! Where we are in Southern California, we're also relatively safe from the wildfires. The only effect on us is the air quality has gone to ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---, and the technicolor sunsets created from the carbon dioxide.
My bro-in-law lives next to the "danger-zone" and they had to evacuate the area when it was at its worst. Luckily the fire didn't travel to their street.

Glad to hear your family got through that with minimal drama. I'll be back with projects again this year graphic novel included. I think I finally got a good approach to toon rendering combined with freehand drawing that I'm satisfied with. You clocked Robotron last year what ya gonna do this year huh?

I'm still trying to figure out how to swing actually going this year. We got our second child on the way, and the wife will be at 6 months by the time ZC is on.
If I do go, I most likely drive over with a cabinet to list for sale.
But in terms of game accomplishments, as long as I can keep destroying Arroyo in every game we play, that'll be enough for me. ;)

There will definitely be a Mikeapalooza 2021. If there is no Zapcon then use you travel savings to come out here. End of summerish.
A few people can stay in the guest room. I have 5 acres for people who like to camp. There are hotels nearby.
