Like the subject says, has anyone built a DDR pad and was able to setup LED's under each button that would light up when you stepped on it? I'm trying to figure out if this would be possible to wire up and still have the LED's able to draw enough current from the console controller (PS / PS2 / XBox). If anyone has any ideas or thoughts on this (or circuit diagrams) I'd be curious to see them.

You probably couldn;t draw enough current from the console. You will proably have to have a seperate power supply. I've seen it done on some of those homebuilt sites.

well i know its possible i had a metal pad that lit up when you stepped on it, i just sold it thought i wouldnt be able to open it up and look at it. but it was pretty bright and there was no additional power source, so a PS/PS2 controller port can handle it

It does depend on the light I suppose. Get some ingiglo type thing that uses little current...

Sirp can you point me to the sites you are referring to that have the LED's in the homemade pads? There are only 3 sites I know of that show homemade ones (listed on byoac) and none of them talk much about LED's or the circuitry required for them.
