Title: Arcade Cell-phone ringtones...
Post by: aramis on April 13, 2002, 04:36:46 pm
Hey, this might be old news but I just found it...

arcadetones.emuunlim.com has downloadable arcade sounds as ringtones for cell phones.

They have the standard Nokia-compatible files, but they are also downloadable as .mid MIDI files, which is what my Sanyo 6000 uses.

I must not have the midi samples for my SB Live! card loaded right, 'cause they sound like crap in Media Player. But, after dl'ing to my phone, the chords and tempo are correct...

Heh, got a crappy Ericsson that you have to program ringtones into manually!  >:(  Got mine to play the Pac-Man theme by ear, even though no one had the key sequence on line...  Drives my coworkers crazy!

that site also has all the key sequences listed out, I think. They list them out for Nokia RTTTL and Nokia Composer. I dunno if that's comparable to how you enter them into your phone, though.

I've got Galaga on mine right now...  :)
