Hello, I just got a Rave Racer cabinet in non-working condition I will attempt to get fix, inside there is a Ridge Racer unit but it's missing the I/O board.
Is there any way to test the video or sound output of the main board without the IO board? I'd hate to go and buy an IO board blindly without being able to test the main PCB.

If you are in the Chicagoland area I have a working Rave Racer. We could swap your main board into my cab to test it.
I will check the manual when I get home to see how everything is wired up in case you live on 99 percent of the planet that is not near me.

Thanks for the offer! But I'm afraid I'm not even in the US (I'm in Chile). That's why I'm hesitant about buying the IO board, the only one on ebay right now is in europe and shipping to Chile is over 70 USD.
In the pictures bellow, first one is the cab, and the next is the IO Board picture I found online. The wire I marked with a blue arrow doesn't seem to match the red connector on the IO Board. Not sure about that...

Well maybe it does... I can see now there is just an extra red wire in the 2nd picture.
There's also the monitor not turning on and making a regular click noise, hopefully something that can be fixed. I haven't got the time to check yet.

One more thing, this cable si dangling down and I'm not sure where it should plug into :(. I'll try to follow the wire but it's pretty cramped in there.

When I got my cab it was listed as not working.
The monitor signal cable was jammed in backwards.
Two fuses were missing completely.
The force feedback motor was plugged into the view change button. This was my favorite.

Update: It's alive!! I gave it a proper vacuum cleaning (it had layers and layers of dust) and replaced a fuse and it's working now!, somewhat.
This is a Rave Racer cab, but has a Ridge Racer main board, someone downgraded it at some point possibly due to a faulty Rave Racer. There is no input or sound but there is video and I can see no graphical problems so far.
Once I can confirm the IO board wiring I'll get one.
I don't leave it on for long because the monitor although seems to be working, it's making a very loud continuous buzz (nor more clicking). I should probably check that out first.
