Title: Possibly the worst condition MM3....
Post by: Cruiseomatic on November 18, 2019, 05:42:01 pm
3 months ago I acquired a Rowe AMI MM3 that was left in a abandoned barn for the last 20 years. Shes VERY rough and possibly the worst thats ever been brought back from the dead. Amp doesn't work, turntable is very slow and weak, record selection is always scanning, etc... However, At least to me, She still has some life left in her.
Just ordered the service manual hoping it has the schematic for the amp so I can get it going. Looks to of had previous repairs.
Currently in Houston, TX but started life in South Carolina.
Tried twice to upload pictures but they "fail security check".

you need to post a few more times. it's just so spammers who make new accounts and then spam pics all over the place. i think once you hit 5 or 10 posts, it will allow you to upload pics.

as for you machine... a lot of cleaning goes a long way. it's been out in the dry air...all the grease and oil have solidified. your manual will say what needs to be oiled and greased. be sure to follow it....as lubing up stuff that shouldn't be...can cause issues.

The false positive is probably due to a still un-resolved issue with the SMF forum software image plugin.   :banghead:

HaRuMaN got the same error 9 months ago, so it's not based on account permissions or the number of posts.

IIRC, some members have worked around it by cropping or slightly down-sizing the image (3-5% ?) before uploading.
