Going to spend all day improving my skills on SketchUp. Need to start virtually from the beginning. Any good tutes people know if? In particular engineering (im using it for 3d printer designs) rather than architecture although I know it's mostly the same skill set.

Meh, spent an hour struggling to reconcile what I was reading their with what I was looking at in sketchup. I just realised I am using the web based version and that tute is for the downloaded version!

indeed. Does anyone know which paid up version gives me features like 'subtract solid'? Turns out the web based one isn't going to cut it...
