I just acquired two pedals from an Atari Badlands machine that intrigue me.
They have a pressure sensor inside that changes as you push down on the pedal with your foot. This sensor transmits a varying voltage through the 3 wires coming out of the pedal assembly, most likely using a variable resistor mechanism.
I really like how the pedals mount to the bottom of the cabinet via 4 carriage bolts, and are small and non-obtrusive.
The bottom line is that I'd like to attach these to my Mame cabinet PC if possible, but am not sure how this would be done electrically speaking (into an Opti-pac, through joystick port, etc.). ???
Any ideas? Has anyone else managed to connect similar pedals to their Mame PC's?

Check the resistance, arcade stuff typically uses 5K Ohm pots for analog controllers. If the pedalt's resistance ranges between 0 and 5K Ohms, 1
up's Sidewinder to SW Yoke hack would work and the pedals would be USB compatible to boot.
PC joysticks usually use 100K Ohm pots, if your pedal uses a 0 to 100K Ohm range you could wire it up using a DB 15 connector and plug it in via the PC's Gameport.
