Hello , I have a megatouch ML-1 that the touchscreen is working intermittently. It works for a couple mintues then stops.
Also is there a freeplay on the ML-1 ? I cant find were to put it on free play.

I don't think the ML-1 has a free play option per se.... I do think you can set individual games as free? been a while since I worked on one. under pricing and then game setting? something like that.
as for the screen... it's hard to say without actually seeing what is going on or being able to measure thigns.
it could have a crud buildup between the bezel and the overlay.
make sure you aren't touching the screen while you power it up and it boots. it has an automatic calibration thing it does on initialization and if you are touching it while it does this, it can throw it off.
a power supply that is starting to go south can introduce all kinds of noise into the system. capacitive overlays like the ones used in the megatouches are really sensitive to voltage ripple in their power and can pick up random/stray/no/jittery touches.

For freeplay you need to reboot and press the red setup button when it asks for operator input, then when it asks to register you need to select register offline. Then select the freeplay profile. As far as the TS, there is not much you can do, it either works or it doesnt. Since it s adigitizer there is no calibration or driver to install/reinstall. Sounds like you are having a lag issue with the system.

Since the monitor doesnt use any drivers can I buy a 22in widescreen overlay from Amazon like the one that is in there and just plug it into the USB on the motherboard?

I think there is a TS security check. Try turning the machine on with the TS usb unplugged and see if you get a touchscreen error. If so, then no. And as ive said, it sounds more like lag on the system. I have had similar issues with delay in response which was due to the hard drive going bad.

I just booted it up with the TS unplugged and it says TS not found. Seems like trying to find parts for this is Damn near impossible. Even if I wanted to get a new HD or touchscreen you can't find them anywhere.

Here's your touchscreen...At a bargain price of $49 plus shipping...

Try the hard drive first. As ive said, this sounds like lag. Also, good luck with it. Ive had a few drives not have the ML-1 software not installed correctly from them.
