Do the Tesla drivers ask them to move? No. Do they tell the station owner, if applicable? Apparently not. Do they call the police, and report for loitering, etc? No.

Why those ICErs gotta be ---Deutsche Frankfurters---?
-
Because some people actually care about others and the planet in general and some only care about themselves and actively hate anyone who try to threaten their way of life even slightly.
-
Sounds like people are parking in the charging stations because it's the only available parking spot and the ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- writer is trying to twist it into some devisive outrage story.
-
There are 12 handicap parking spaces at the local Lowes. Do I think that's dumb? Sure. Do I park in any of them even if the lot is full? Nope because those spaces aren't for me. Rules are rules... being a good citizen means you abide by them. I'm sure they have a sign up that clearly states they are spaces for electric vehicles so if you park there and you have a regular car, clearly you are an ---uvula--- that only cares about yourself.

Somebody been using their "jump" to conclusions mat?
Nothing to see here. That was a charity car show event, sanctioned by the city. This author got triggered because they couldn't find parking and twisted the truth to alleviate their butthurt.

Not sure what to think about this.
The event address from the club website.
1852 Commerce Street
Yorktown Heights, New York 10598
The Tesla Supercharger location
3379 Crompond Rd
Yorktown Heights, NY 10598
The distance between them is 3.8 miles.
That must be one ginormous car show or there is some incorrect information floating around.

From Reddit:
This was the Yorktown Grange Car Show and they were allowed to use the the entire parking lot (including charger and handicapped spots).

Looks like a car show to me. Sounds like the owner of the lot gave permission.
This is like complaining that a gas station is closed for an event.
It is not owners of gas guzzlers shutting down a charging station just to be ---uvulas--- like the "writer" implied.
Guess he got his clicks though.

I followed that link and the Yorktown Grange Car Show in that thread was June 23rd.
This could very well be an unfounded article, but you keep presenting bad evidence.
-
I am trying to find evidence that people weren't just being jerks and I can't find it. I am distrustful of articles with an obvious slant. That is why I try to dig up the actual information if it interests me. It helps to try not to have an obvious bias yourself when researching.
There are little car shows and cruise nights all of the time. There very well could have been one that day in that location. It is just that the two shows mentioned in this thread do not fit the description.
The Yorktown Grange Car Show takes place at a fairgrounds 4.3 miles away from the Supercharger station.

As you can tell, there isn't ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- going on at work today.

See you tomorrow Vigo. Make sure you wear your drinking pants.

You got it, brother!

Futurism re-reports stuff, and is generally accurate, though the writing style is Millennially flashy. This story may have been a case of (intentionally) neglected logistics, which may be illegal depending on the city and state. The phenomenon is not unique.
