I've had bad luck with MiniPac and wanted to try something else. My latest problem was with one key (for joystick) not emitting an auto-repeat. I tried to fiddle with the WinIPac firmware utility program, and got into a state where my board is no longer recognized.
My current arcade is 2P with 22 buttons + 2 joysticks = 30 keys + Happ 3" trackball, all controlled from the MiniPac.
I really like the fact that MiniPac offers a wiring harness for all your keys, and it's very small. Can anyone recommend alternatives for Minipac that can handle my 30 keys (no need for LED lighting)?

In particular, has anyone tried or heard about the Sky-Q4T Encoder Board?

I'm a little suspicious there are many no-name companies re-branding this part, and none of them have any user reviews. But other than that, it looks like exactly what I want.

I have never had any trouble with a mini pac.
They are great little boards but if you are having problems have you tried contacting Andy at Ultimarc for advice?

Echo the above.
I can help with this but not sure wat you mean by "auto repeat" exactly.
