Title: Hooking pc to arcade monitor
Post by: AlienInferno on July 30, 2019, 12:10:36 am
Been awhile since I built my last mame cabinet. This time I'm planning on using a generic dynamo cabinet that came with a 25" wells gardner monitor (crt). Just wondering what the recommendations are now a days to accomplish this. My pc is either running vista or windows 7. Will check tomorrow after work.

I haven't tried any of these options myself yet, but most folks seem to like Windows with CRTemudriver with Groovymame and an AMD GPU, or Groovyarcade which is Linux based and can work with a wider range of GPU including some Nvidia ones.

Check out the arcade vga from ultimarc to output 15khz to monitor.

And if it’s wired jamma the jpac makes it really easy to hook up.

Jpac - yes
Arcadevga - no

Read through the groovymame sub-forum, regardless if you choose windows or linux.
