Title: Bad pixel?
Post by: arizonacats on February 13, 2004, 12:19:55 pm
I have a Hanatrex MTC9110 from the early 90s and for the past month that I've owned it everything has been great.  Just the other day I noticed one pixel on the right center of the screen has "gone out" and remains black constantly.  I know this is something common on CRT monitors, but I don't know if there is a fix for it (at home).  I can't find anything about it in these boards but figured someone would know where to direct me at the least.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I've seen this on CRT's and I believe it is a problem with the original phosphor etching or mask when the monitor was manufactured.  As far as I know, there is no way to fix the problem once the tube is sealed.
