Title: Joystick question
Post by: woosdom on July 01, 2019, 01:13:26 pm
I ordered a Zippy joystick but I received an LED Joystick instead. The model is LED-JS-248-BLUE. I will be returning it for the Zippy.

Has anyone used this joystick before?  I would like to check out how the led looks. What is an easy way to power it up while I still have it?

If you received a more expensive joystick by mistake, I'd keep the more expensive joystick....

Assuming the underside looks like this . . .

. . . hook ground and 12v to the upper left pins.

5v should work if you don't have a 12v source, but the LEDs will probably be a bit dimmer.

Not sure what kind of jumpers/adapters/power sources you have available.   :dunno

An I-Pac (5v and ground Dupont pins) and two F-F Dupont jumpers would probably be the easiest way.   ;D
