Title: Trackball & Spinner
Post by: FrizzleFried on June 16, 2019, 01:56:36 am
OK...

I have a trackball and spinner in the same cab.  Trackball is a USB trackball purchased from Tornado Terry many many years ago.  Spinner is a GroovyGameGear spinner hooked up via the mini Optiwiz that came with the Turbo Twist (also many moons ago).

When my PC powers up... it only will recognize the trackball.  If I disconnect then reconnect the Optiwiz's USB cable,  then both the trackball and spinner work as advertise (using any of the axis ..x, y or z depending how it's plugged in),  and will continue working as normal until i power down then re-power.  Then we're back to the PC recognizing only the trackball and not the spinner via the optiwiz.

I've tried changing USB ports a couple times... no change.

Anyone know how I can force both device to be recognized?

Solved the issue...

It was a matter of not just moving USB ports,  but moving to an entirely different set of USB ports.  For example,  I have 2 USB2 ports and 4 USB3 ports.  Just moving the two around the USB 3 ports didn't help... but moving the spinner off to one of the USB2 ports did.
