Hello, i hope someone can help me indentify this chassis. I live in the netherlands, and i wonder if it runs on 220-230 volt. And is the white and black cable the wires to connect?
Or does iT need a other Power supply?
I hope somebody can help me.

I read 400V on the big cap in the power supply so it takes 230V.

Great!
Tonight i am gonna try it.
I will share the outcome.

You can't tell the input/line voltage requirements by looking at the voltage on the filter cap. Most filter caps have 200-400v ratings. I would not plug that into 230v until you have identified the monitor model and looked at its specs. Until then you should assume that it is 110vac and requires an isolation transformer.
-
that looks like a switch mode power supply powered monitor. it SHOULD be able to take any voltage. best to find a manufacturer and a chassis number to be sure.
-
That IS a switching power supply. With a 230VAC input the DC voltage after the full wave rectifier is 300V hence the decoupling cap is rated 400V. With a 120VAC input it's only 160V so the cap is 200-250V.
-
The transformer in the upper right corner of the first picture screams "I am a switch mode power supply and I don't need a ISO for normal operation (but I do need for servicing eh...)"
-
today i finally had the opportunity to power the monitor. and....... no smoke ;-)
So i realy want to thank all of you for your input!
now i can focus on my test rig i am gonna build.
shall i share this build? and where to post?

You HAVE to share your project :D
Open a new post in the main area. Moderators will eventually move it in the "right" section.

I look forward to seeing your test rig build thread in the Project Announcements (http://newforum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/board,10.0.html) sub-forum.
