Hey all,
Okay I'm pretty much out of ideas so apologies in advance if this is obvious but I cannot seem to get this to working correctly. I'm using a full MAME 0.209 rom set with MAME64 (0.209). Certain games have been launching with a black screen with sound working, so the game is running in the background. I have:
1080p monitor
950GTX GPU with the latest Nvidea drivers.
Windows 10 with DX9 installed as I'm using HLSL.
When running games WITHOUT forcing aspect ration (Which is obviously no good) it seems to work. As soon as I force aspect ration the game launches but get a black screen with the game running in the background.
Any help would be appreciated.

Had a few reports of this from different people, and happens with different games (not all of them).
The only common factor is Windows 10 with nVidia drivers. Everything else on the computer works fine except for MAME (and derivatives).
Some people worked out solutions which only work for them, such as changing the Hz rate, or removing custom nVidia settings.

Okay so I've just formatted by PC with a fresh install of W10 and taken out the 950GTX so it's running with onboard graphics. Nothing NVidea related installed at all and I still get the issue.
Outrun launches fine. Galaxian and Galaga etc. initially run but after 10 secs get a black screen. Tearing my hair out here as I've just paid for Bigbox/Emumoves but can't seem to sort this issue.
If it's a Windows 10 issue of some kind have you any ideas at all?

Seemed to solve it by accident in the end. I installed the bezel project 1.5 and now don't have any weird resolution switching/black screen issues. I guess as it see s everything as full screen when considering the bezels. Just thought I'd mention it in case anyone stumbles across this.

Are you launching from the baseline exe? Have you launched from command line?
