Title: Moving a jukebox
Post by: stingman on April 21, 2019, 07:40:46 am
I have read that it is not advisable to lay a jukebox on its back or side. I have a Toyota Prius that will only accommodate a juke on its back.
I intend to purchase a Rowe AMI R84 - R94 juke and will at least screw down the carousel assembly or possibly remove it for shipment.
Are there any other worries I should be aware of? Knowing what the inside of these units contains, I see no reason not to lay it down other than maybe tying the tone arm down.
Please advise.

never move it with the carousel installed and you should be ok. moved my r83 several times on its back with no problem. make sure power supply is screwed down and amp is in place.

Hello stingman,

I would normally remove the mechanism, make sure all the boards, amplifier and the coin mechanism are fully screwed down.

Tape over the jukebox doors just incase the locks spring open (yes it does happen).
