Just that what is stated. I figured this group would be busy.
Nothing bad.
Just shocked. :dunno

I think the little box is cool as hell
-
I’m waiting for the conversation in the pie group to switch to Dutch Apple. No one wants to talk about rhubarb pie.
-
I personally like the pie. I have been using GPIO pins for controls to save some money on encoders. I think it works great. Of course, I don't play anything newer than about 1989 or so. No fighters.
I know some people think they suck and will only use computers. Oh well. To each their own.

I have a bartop that runs RetroPie and I have about 100 games loaded. I run Mame 0.37b5, Daphne for Dragon's Lair and Space Ace, and a small number of SNES, Genesis, and N64 games. They all run great and I haven't really needed to talk about it.

Not many threads in this section spark my interest. I use raspbian lite and configure/compile myself. Not into retropie or 20,000+ games. So... im sparse on the pi and main sections.

Key Lime pie is highly underrated. Lemon meringue usually takes the spotlight in the tart pies category, but key lime with a coconut graham crust is fantastic.
Not a fan of rhubarb though.

Key lime is my favorite pie, but nothing beats a good hot crumbly crusted

Me too brotha! Key lime is my favourite as well. Best one I’ve had was at a Caribbean restaurant in Laguna beach, CA at a place called Eva’s Caribbean Kitchen. The owner, Eva, is from Trinidad and her recipe of key lime pie is a wonder onto itself. I’ve made key lime before, but I could never get it to taste like Eva’s.
Hmm, I think it’s about time to go back there for a visit.

Do you have links on how to use the gpio pins?

Do you have links on how to use the gpio pins?
There is GPIONext here (https://github.com/mholgatem/GPIOnext) or Retrogame here (https://github.com/adafruit/Adafruit-Retrogame). I think I like Retrogame a little more just because it does not have hot keys so there is no delay. GPIONext can use hot keys for combo but it has a delay to look for hot key combos. If you do not use the hot keys, then I think they are about the same. I take that back, you can use 1 hot key in Retrogame by assigning two pins to a hot key. They have to both be held down for a couple seconds which helps accidental activation.
The one difference that I did notice is that I could assign two pins to the same key in Retrogame which worked for me because on one machine I had a 4 way and 8 way stick both mapped to up, down, left and right. I would have to wire them daisy chain style to use GPIONext. Which is not a big deal but...
You can use 26 of the pins if you are not using them for something else (I2C or PiTFT or Serial or I2S...not even sure what most of those are). This page (https://learn.adafruit.com/retro-gaming-with-raspberry-pi/adding-controls-hardware) has some good info about the pins you can use.
Let me know if you have questions on either. I think I have a decent enough grasp on both (enough to make them work at least).

Thanks!

Thinking about it, I don't think I've ever met a person that said their favourite pie is Cherry. Personally I think Cherry pie is too sweet for my liking. It's also a bit too "saucy" IMO. Like eating a mouthful of jam with chunks of cherries in it. Nope, not a fan.
Key Lime, Apple, and Pumpkin are my top 3 pies.

I have to go with Zeppelin on this. Custard Pie FTW. >:D

Peach pie is great too.
I've also had a Peach and Apricot pie, and it was pretty delicious.

Im partial to fur pie myself. ::)
-
^ too fishy for me. :D
-
Once you get past the smell you got it licked. >:D

Never even seen a rhubarb in person but Hollywood constantly tells me it’s a Texas stereotype.
Secret ingredient to Caribbean food is always lime juice or tamarind. Recipes never include it and that’s why your home version tastes weird.
Fur pie or chicken skin pie doesn’t faze me much either way,
Pecan pie > *

I like pie but prefer a cobbler

I did like the pie but ended up putting together a SFF PC due to the fact that I wanted to play some newer stuff like Dreamcast and N64 at full speed. It also lets me play Supermodel emus and cost wise works out not much more expensive.

Same. I use an Intel i3 NUC.

Does it play Gauntlet Legends 100%?

My goal at ZapCon this year is to get a photo of me and PBJ playing Gauntlet Legends at 100%.
