Title: mag stick or a mag stick plus color

i have 2 mag sticks 1 mag stick plus
has any one changed the color?
I have some old hap leafs 4 way ball top also wrong color for what I want.
how well would  5 coats of spray paint and 5 coats of clear hold up?

Any other ideas would be grateful

maybe automotive paint? I have sprayer and air compressor?

You could try bleaching one?
If it was lighter to darker easy but the other way round not so much lol

That pint will eventually wear off. Maybe some kind of dye?

 I painted a Happ reunion joystick from red to yellow. It has held up remarkable well. I suggest you start off sanding the ball down really well. Tape off areas as needed and spray multiple coats sanding as you go. Remember to allow it to cure well before using it.

Oh, One more thing. I think my first several coats were with a Krylon primer designed for plastic. After that I applied paint. Hope this helps :)
