Probably not a bad deal, it'll most likely need a good cleaning.

It depends on what it needs.  I bought a $20 ebay imperial trackball.  But it needed bearings, rollers, a new encoder, and I bought a new ball (for cosmetics).  I ended up spending a lot more than I could have bought a new or refurbished one for, straight from Wico.

I payed $21 +$10 shipping for betson imperial. The guy said it was only used 25 times and appears to be almost new.

Alot of times the pictures are hosted by some off ebay site and as soon as the auction is over, its get deleted, which kinda sucks sometimes. They are just making room for other pics for newer auctions im sure.

This usually happens when people use third-party image hosting.

I bought a brand-new trackball from Happ for $69 on sale (http://www.happcontrols.com/index.html?http://www.happcontrols.com/wp/item_search.html?item-no=56-0100-11HL! (http://www.happcontrols.com/index.html?http://www.happcontrols.com/wp/item_search.html?item-no=56-0100-11HL!)).  I spent so much trying to fix up second-hand balls that I finally just decided to get a new one that I wouldn't have to worry about.

I got it today,
it looks decent, and rolls little bit rough.
Requires little bit of cleaning I guess,,

Let me see, how it goes..

I think for about another $20 you can get a set of stainless steel rollers and bearings from the bob roberts.  You could probably give yours a cleaning and and see if your rollers are salvagable, or just go ahead and buy new ones and have a pretty good ball for around $50.  Not too bad a deal.

I bought another one of these trackballs from this same seller and just received it yesterday. I'm happy with the purchase. It was definitely in need of some cleaning, and I had to glue one inner portion together where the screws connect the halves of the case together, but after a cleaning, it looks great and spins smoothly. I can't wait for my other parts to come in so I can start building my first cp!

You guys realize they are only $50 brand new, right?  Sometimes Wico sells refurbished balls for even less, which likely have all new bearings and rollers installed already.

Learn from my mistakes, don't try to go cheap or you'll just end up regretting it and probably spending more money in the long run.  I know I have a heck of a lot more than $50 "invested" in my used trackball.
