Title: coin door options?
Post by: hulkster on February 11, 2004, 07:51:05 am
im trying to find a coin door for my cab and ive seen several on ebay, but i was thinking....

my color scheme for my cab is black/blue and some white.  is it possible to get a blue plastic cover for the coin slot?  instead of the traditional red plastic covering (where it says 25 cents, etc).  just curious, and if not blue, then wht about a white cover with a blue light behind it?

I believe Happs sells blue replacement coin reject buttons.  But you need to make sure the door and the reject button go together.  You can't just buy a door and expect it to work, as there are a few manufactorers and some of the coin return buttons are slightly different.

Just checked it's part # 42-0517-02 and they run about $4.30 a piece.  But this is a happs specific reject button and it's slightly different than all the other coin door buttons.  How much were you looking to spend?  I have brand new door that this button will work on, I may have a used one as well (I'll have to check) if the new one is out of your price range.  PM me or email me at mperry@miavio.com, if you are interested.

if you use a Midway door like this one:

The part that lights up is just a piece of plexi with the 25 cent part printed on the inside. It's not part of the reject buttons, which are located below the name plate. You could print new 25 cent images in whatever color you want and mount them behind a piece of clear plexi. I'm thinking of doing this to my cab to make the coin door lights blue to better match the cab.
