Sorry guys, I'm a noob, just getting started in the hobby. I just got a working After Burner for a good price. It's not one of my "grail games" but I really like it. I found a guy selling a non-working Elevator Action (semi-grail for me). He offered to trade for my After Burner + $50. Good deal? Thoughts? I'd like to just buy it outright, but funds are tight.

I would keep the Afterburner, it is not an even trade and will get less even in the future when some FPGA board comes out that has Elevator Action on it.

Agreed. Any machine with specialty parts is inherently worth more than something that just uses sticks. The reason is obvious... you can replicate the experience of EA with any mame cab, but with Afterburner something is lost in the translation due to the lack of that force-feedback stick. Also it just looks a lot cooler imho.

Thanks guys - appreciate the input. I actually ended up putting myself in a little more debt and bought the EA cabinet. Excited to have both, and looking forward to fixing them up. ;D
