Title: Does such a wire harness/adapter exist?
Post by: BarontheFirst on February 04, 2019, 11:32:39 am
I would like to not have to replace my 14yr old ish and still working Happ 3" trackball with my cabinet conversion. Was wondering if there is any kind of wire harness or adapter I can get to actually convert it to USB for the Pi. I mean I still have my KE72 and can use a PS/2 to USB adapter but I hate to use such a huge board now that I no longer need the keyboard encoder portion thanks to USB encoders.

If no such thing exists I would be interested in going the route of a LED trackball and would like some suggestions. RGB or a fixed blue or red would be ideal for my color choices.

This cable and encoder combination should meet your needs.   ;D

- Trackball Cable for Opti-Wiz "No-Solder" (https://groovygamegear.com/webstore/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=76_85&products_id=261)

This cable connects the optical "Red Boards" to the OptiWiz (older model shown in this pic)
