Good show, though. Mine got tossed off the front page.

Newbie-like mistake. Apologies.... :P

Why apologize? You did a good thing.

Will this run street fighter and the like?
Also for 10$ you can get the same chipset but with Pc100/133 instead of DDR.(Cost savings for those of us who have PC133 just ahnging around.)

I really don't know. Perhaps there is some info in the "The "What PC do I need to run MAME?" Official FAQ thread above that would help.
If this is a "cheapie" 1.2 ghz, maybe we can guess it would run at the performance level of a '"good" 900 mhz PC? ???

hmm, my girlfriend has been looking for a computer to do college work on and maybe for some basic games. I think ill pick this up and make her one 8) bonus points
edit: oh and as far as MAME speed, ive never dealt with these weird hardmounted processors. but if it can run at a good 900mhzs power, id say it can run SF2, metal slug, type of stuff pretty well. probably not MK3 or fighters with 3d graphics, but who knows

I recall playing SF2 full speed on my old AMD 233, so I am pretty sure a 1200 could handle it.

Tiger Direct shipped this out of Naperville, and I live in, well, Naperville, so I just got mine last night.
Looks pretty good, but I don't have anything for it to go in right now so I can't benchmark it. Full retail package, includes all of the software, ide and phone cable, and modem. Looks like a good deal for the $20 it ended up costing me (with taxd + shipping).
I think it will work perfectly for a secondary mame machine, kids computer, or I think I will use some old parts and build my dad a new machine for his b-day. He's working with a 400 mhz machine now, this will be perfect for him.

ashardin,
In the future, just drive over to the TigerDirect Outlet and save the shipping.
They are off of 59 in the area behind Target.
