Title: Anyway to speed up myHTPC when it comes to building the catelog?

It just freezes up and stops responding everytime I try to build my mame cat, any suggestions?

Start it and go to bed...  ;)

It takes a while...even on a very fast machine. Make sure you have all the options unchecked under "Cache Settings"; click "Build Now"; and wait.

Note it's very important you have those options under "Cache Settings" unchecked or the program will try to rebuild that list every time you run it.

This really isn't the best program to use for launching Mame unless you're adding games to a HTPC.

Worked, I'm considering a new frontend though since this one seems to take up a little bit too much system memory and takes too long to load, it's nice and all but maybe a bit too nice :\
