Title: Is this a Jamma-Cabinet ?
Post by: Bos007 on February 09, 2004, 01:38:35 pm
Hi all, newbie here !

Just bought my first cabinet.
Although it still works (got 2 PCB's), i'd like it to convert it into a Mame-cabinet.
The 2 PCB's (Final Fight (-> JAMMA) & WonderBOY_ML (non JAMMA)) have been altered so they van fit the cabinets interface which is 2x22 Pins.

I read somewhere on the net that some JAMMA-interfaces are 22 and not 28 Pins (mostly Australian ones)

So, could someone please tell me what kind of cabinet I have bought, please ?
Please check the pictures on this site :

Thank You

It is not a standard jamma cabinet.  You are correct the jamma standard is 28x2.   Your Final Fight board is standard jamma and it needs a finger board to work in your cabinet.   I am not familiar with any other jamma configuration that has a different number of pins. I guess it would not be a standard if it had a different number. You would have to figure out the connections from your final fight board to the finger board.  With a 28x2 pin connector you could build a jamma standard plugin for your cabinet.
