Title: Could be created a good resolution for modern PC games?
Post by: mitsurugi on December 20, 2018, 09:26:08 am
Hello.

I'm using crt emudriver in win7. I'm using 640x480 @ 60hz for all emus, windows and games (and groovymame with her especial resolutions).

Could be created a better resolution for play new games like tekken 7 or sf V ?

I have created 800x600, but it runs at 50hz, so games run slowly like it were designed, so it's not usable for play games...

Someone have some ideas?

Thanks.

Not possible.
regular 15khz sets are capable of 480i @60  at max. If you're using a regular TV or even a pvm-like monitor, you'll have to play it at 15khz within range.
800x600 @60 Interlaced would fall at like 19khz domain... above 15khz range.
unless you are using a multisync monitor (like those PVML5 ones), it's not possible.

It would look crap anyway and mostly burn your eyes out. 60hz + interlaced = eye cancer lol

How did you set it up? I tried for ages to run these games but I couldn't.
Maximum I had was 640x480 for games like Dragon Ball, SF4, SFxTekken and a few more.
