Title: Need Advice - Adding 2 push-pull spinners and trackball
Post by: pixelpalace on December 11, 2018, 02:40:23 pm
I am trying to build out a Forgotten Worlds cabinet and need some advice on the most efficient way of hooking up two TurboTwist push-pull spinners, a track ball, 2 joysticks and 12 buttons. I was thinking of using two I-PAC 2 Interface boards. I'm not even sure if the board will recognize the push-pull spinner. Or if RetroPie will recognize it.This will all run to a Raspberry Pi.

Ide ditch the Pi and use a PC or you are going to be opening yaself up for one hell of a headache....

Combination of things.

Compatibility, Your large amount of controls, previous experience :p

Pi’s are awesome for a straight 2 player 6 button build.
You start to add extras and stuff starts to become a PITA to configure and set up.

PC is much much simpler.
