I have a cheap generic USB board that came with my joystick and buttons. There are few K ports (K1-K4 and K11-K12) but some are labeled as TURBO, AUTO, CLR, MODE, AU, AR, AD, AL, ST, SE, R1, R2, L1, L2. My arcade has 1 joystick, 6 buttons on the control panel plus 3 buttons on the front panel. How do I connect everything? I am installing Recalbox on the Raspberry PI 2 to run the arcade. Does it matter which ports on the USB board I use or is all configured later in the software?

Upper left connector is for the USB cable that came with it to go from the board to your PC USB port
Joystick depends on if you have a 5-pin connector or 4 2 pin connector type - If 5 pin it goes into the 5-pin port to the right of the USB connector Or if 4 2 pin connectors they go into the 4 2 pin connectors to the right of that ( AU is Up , AR RIght, AL Left, AD down ) for the joystick directions.
THen for your Buttons those are the 12 2 pin connectors along the bottom - SO that is where you connect the 6 CP buttons and 3 front panel buttons ( then you set them up in MAME or what ever emulator you are using )

Thanks! Got the USB controller working. Originally, I had the TURBO, MODE, etc buttons connected but after reading your replies, I have switched them to the lower part of the ports and was able to configure all the buttons in RetroPie.
