I've been working on some stuff for my control panels, the first one is just a copy of the RoadBlasters CP - I posted it a while back. This one will hopefully have a yoke + shifter on it. I'm totally happy with it, just some finishing off and adjustments to do when I get the yoke:
-
Next I was trying to modify the CP for another panel with just sticks + buttons, what do you guys think:?
(Thanks Frosty for your viewer control graphics btw)
Edit: the bottom part that looks cut-off will be permanently in place on the front panel.

Looks cool. It has that throwback feel (like an old defender panel YAYYY)
I loved roadblasters when I was a kid. That was a fun game. It's not as fun to me now... back then though, I LOVED it.

Yes I wanted to use something 'real' to begin with since my artistic imagination is pretty poor! My cab is based on Atari's System 1 design (ie RoadBlasters), and I too loved the game as a kid (still do!) so I thought that was a good start :)

Definitely has a nice classic arcade look to it. Nice!

That looks great. I am looking to do a similar look with basic colors. Should give it that late 70's arcade/disco look.
Is the button artwork located somewhere for downloading?

Thasks for the comments...
And for the link Brax - I hadn't been there --BINGO! Either that, or I was attempting to say "before" but it was too many letters to type-- :)
I used Frosty's images (also joysticks + trigger sticks + spinners etc) supplied with Howards controls.dat viewer - the link is in the software forum...

Updated my stick panel art a touch: moved the controls down slightly (my test panel revealed they are a bit 'high), added some bevels back into the lower section, and added some green to match the green button:
-
That is going to look sharp. I wouldn't change a thing.
Nice..

Those are both very nice, any chance that you have hi-res copys posted somewhere that you would be willing to share?
I can host them if you need a place.

Yes the driving one I have almost finished in high-res, the stick one needs to be resized up. I'll upload them to my site when they're done, should also have a marquee, and eventually some side art too :)
