Title: Best Fishing Games for Mame?

Can I get a few suggestions on the top FISHING games for mame and how you play them?   Trackball good for this?

I used to really enjoy Reel Fishing for Playstation.

They had a Dreamcast controller you might be able to mod or make work, also a ps1 bass fishing controller

Not what you’re asking but fishing on the Wii is pretty fun.

Dunno about mame, but dreamcast sega bass fishing and something else I can't remember, those were the nuts :)  Nowadays its real fishing, or as my friend calls it "Another Day Drowning Maggots" :)

I don't think there are any.

Fishing as an arcade or even home genre wasn't really popular for the eras MAME does a good job of emulating.

There's ancient stuff like Angler Dangler

Then there's really junk STV stuff, which doesn't even run all too well and looks hideous

and then there's some Korean stuff, where the sound isn't emulated and the gameplay is just atrocious.

I know the Megadrive / Genesis had a few fishing games which probably run in that driver, or in whatever your favourite Genesis emulator is, but none of them are trackball controlled.

There's also the Radica TV game thing, but emulation is incomplete and it crashes entering gameplay.

but really, I don't think there's anything worthwhile in the genre prior to Dreamcast era

Demul can run some stuff like Bass Fishing Challenge, you might want to look there instead.

Thanks guys.  Maybe it's time to look into a dreamcast emulator.

Another vote here for Sega Marine Fishing.

My favorite fishing game ever, and one of my favorite from the entire Dreamcast library.

Sega is giving away steam keys for Sega Bass Fishing (Dreamcast Version) through the end of the month if you fork over info for marketing.  Of course it doesn't have to be real info other than the email address.
