I just got my brand new totally complete Happs over under coin door #4003800 from UPS today for only 67 bucks shipped! The door was packed very well and and only took a couple of days to get here. If your looking for great coin door and don't want to worry about restoring a grimy old one that you got from ebay this is the answer. I ordered mine from Miavio.com and I couldn't be happier, I just wished he sold trackballs!

All I get at Miavio.com is a page that says coming soon. ???

Sorry, I've had a pretty busy new year and have had to delay getting the site up and running. I'm still in the process of obtaining some stock. I just recently noticed a few posts on the forum of people looking for coin doors and so I messaged them and sent a few pics. They are brand new Happs coin doors each one slightly different in features (i.e single coin mech, double coin mech, DBA cutout panel, etc.). If anyone is interested I can send you some pics via email. The site should be up and running soon, hopefully within the month.

I also bought a door from Mike. He's a great guy.

I believe this is the cheapest 2 player door Happs sells at $90, with the ones with a DBA cutout going for over $100 dollars. I have about 25 2 player over/under doors of various minor differences ( a few have DBA cutout slots), and about 10 1 player doors with DBA cutouts. The 2 player go for $55 regardless of whether they have a DBA cutout or not and the 1 players go for $40. Each door would ship for about $12 in the continental US (no hidden handling fees).
For an extra $3 in parts, I'll even throw in the capability to use the coin return buttons (similar to ideas posted on this forum in the past) as credit buttons with the ability to turn this functionality on or off.
You can get used doors for less (in fact I have several used doors as well), but these doors are brand new, include quarter mechs (I can switch out for .984 token mechs), and coin buckets as well.
I do understand that this is still out of the range of some of the hobbiests on the forum, and I'm working on some alternatives to give those users the realism of a coin door at a better price, but I'm still in the process of securing suppliers.
This door offer was just a one time deal I got on these doors and I thought I would pass some of the savings on to anyone looking for a new Happs door. Thanks.

well im not knockin your coin door prices or whatever, its just 70$ seems like a lot for something that doesnt impact the gaming experience at all really. but for those people who want everything perfect , good for them. Just my opinion, didnt mean to sound like a flame

Thats quite all right, I didn't take offense. I was just trying to explain that for a new door, it's not a bad price. I don't expect them to fly off the shelves at that price, but I figure I'll sell them eventually.
As far as it impacting the gaming experience, there has been plenty discussion on this forum to that subject, and you either love them or don't. I personally think it just adds to the realism and coolness factor and if they weren't so damn expensive, I think they would be on every custom cabinet or at least should be :)

I see where you are coming from Seph but you have got to figure people spend a bunch of money on their cab to make it look like a real arcade machine. I mean when you print out some custom sideart and a custom marque that all costs money and its definitally not cheap. The way I look at my coindoor is a piece of semi-functional art. While I only paid 30-40 bucks for it I also had to spend a good solid 1-2 hours stripping it and its still used and a little beat up. But I know when my cocktail is done and people see it they are going to be like WOW thats cool and the coindoor just completes the entire look. Also if I just wanted the gaming experience I would just bolt a cp to my desk and play there but I want the ARCADE experience and for that I'm willing to pay the extra cash for the coindoor.

A coin door really makes a cabinet. Its an awesome piggy bank and a convenient access hatch to the insides of your cab.
A arcade cabinet just isn't a arcade cabinet without a coin door.

For those of you out there who don't think the coin door makes that much difference I just wanted to let you know that I lived in arcades while I was growing up. I am now almost there and have my own mame machine, and to be honest, it had an older coin door on it. I repainted it and it was very cool. But all of the wiring was cut. I took the time to convert the wiring down to 12 volt, and when those 25 cent lights lit up, the cabinet got about 50 times cooler. Once you add a coin door (that is lit up) you will wonder why you didn't do it a long time ago. Just my opinion anyway.

Here is a pic of one of the 2 player type of doors I have and one of the 1 player type. My camera is busted and I need to borrow a friends to get a pic of each type, but they are roughly the same. Actually I'll include a picture of a door that is not mine, but it'll show how they differ. One type has a flat finish, and the other one (The one that's not my pic) has a raised finish.
-
2 player type
-
This is not my pic or door (actually the door is mine, but its a used door, not one of the new ones), but gives you an idea of what I meant by the doors have slight differences. Notice how the panels are raised on this one.
-
The last type of door I have is this type, I just don't have a pic of it yet. Over half of the 2 player doors for sale have the DBA slot. I know there is not much use for a DBA in a MAME environment, which is why I'm selling them for the same price as those without. (Disclaimer: The DBA is not included)

This is actually not a bad deal on a door, but just be aware it is not the type you would typically find on an arcade cabinet. These are typically found on crane and the like type coin op equipment and as such are smaller. Still not a bad deal if all you are looking for is the is the functionality.
-
OK, I just checked my inventory, I no longer have the 2 player type that is all smooth (The first 2 player pic I posted), The only 2 players I have left are the ones with the raised panels and the ones with the DBA cutout.

Received my coin door Mike today. perfect. Thanks.
-
Cool, I'm glad your satisfied. It will really complete your cab experience.
-
Got my door on Monday. Thanks Mike!
It's the first part i've ordered for my upcoming cab and I haven't stopped putting quarters through it, even though it's not hooked up!
I just love that 'clink'!!!
For anyone concerned, dealing with Mike was a pleasure. The service was great, shipped on time and in great shape. I had him wire a toggle switch to the reject buttons so there's the option to have them "coin-up" when pressed (He offers this for a very small fee). Nice Feature!
-
I can also vouch for Mike....recieved my coin door yesterday, at $52 bucks shipped! it had a few scratches on it, but he reduced the price accordingly, but overall a great deal! great service, great price...excellent!!! 8)

Thanks guys, for the good word. I'm glad you guys are happy with your doors.
