I cracked open a WD hard drive last night to pull the bearing for an upgrade to my spinner with no problems
Does anyone know though, if bigger hard drives had bigger bearings? I dont mean bigger like 100gb, I mean like 5-1/2" HDD drives or bigger. I was just wondering if they typically used the same ~1" center hole on the platters, or if it waqs a bigger more rugged assembly
