Title: Golden Tee Golf PC- Run in XP?
Post by: Metimbo on February 04, 2004, 07:35:43 pm
I downloaded a demo of GTG for PC and installed it.  When I click on the app, a window comes up and says "Golden Tee Golf runs on DirectX 5.0 or Higher, if you need to download DirectX 5.0 go to Microsoft.com"  or something like that, then the screen flickers and nothing happens.
I am running XP with Directx9.1
Any help here?
Thanks in advance,
~Tim

I don't know offhand what's wrong in your case, but I'm able to run it fine.

Just a thought, try right-clicking on the .exe file that starts the program and telling the computer to run the program in Windows 98 compatability mode.

What kind of graphics card are you running?

There is a command you can type in that tells you everything about your PC, which version of Direct-X is running and what not. Go to run and type dxdiag

if its XP and you're connected to the web...

I believe you can go to the MSFT web site, and update all the needed patches...

I think my XP installation disc didn't have some of the stuffs.. (or outdated stuffs... drivers... etc)

but then after a few downloads.. I think I'm now up to date...

try searching for "windows update" in the msft site...
