Title: request: scan me a fighting game poster
Post by: nirious on February 04, 2004, 07:17:12 pm
I'm building an arcade cabinet and i'm in urgent need of sideart. It's a fighting game cabinet so i would need fighting game sideart. I first went looking for vector art, but I can't find fighting sideart, only classic ones  ???

So now I'm looking for alternatives, like huge gameposters, or standees that someone maybe can scan at 300dpi and high resolution and than send it to me as tif-files, I will put the pieces together myself and get it printed on adhesive vinil.

so I'm looking for people that are in the posession of such large game posters. They can't have any text that covers the main character and should look nice and colourfull. The main character also needs to have a full body.

If you think you can help me plz post here.  :)

Thank you!

regarding vector fighting characters

check the mokup of the vector library (http://www.mametrixreloaded.com/gallery/albums.php)

I can provide you any of the corresponding vector files you can preview.
while the vector library was functional I have grabed all the files, and backuped them at home ;)

I'm serious.  I traced that using Sodipodi, which you will see if you look at the .svg file with a text editor.

Here's a link to my original thread in which I first posted that .svg.

You even commented on my work, Zorg.

me too I'm serious this is the file YOU traced.
In any way I claim (or was claiming) is mine, I just propose it to nirious, as I propose him some files that are not mine I suggest him to take a look at the mametrix  preview and to tell me which file(s) he want's.

it was not in my way to offense you. I remember that I downloaded this file from the public offer you've made here. but I could not remember the link you posted (and waas too lazy to hit the search button)

I collected all the public "vector graphics" I can find and I'm willing to share it.

tell me if you want me to not propose the file. and in this case I'll remove the file, and ask you to accept my apologies

LOL

seems I have misunderstood....  I took "sure it is" to be sarcastic like "yeah rite"   :P

And anyone who wants to use it, feel free...  :)

I think he meant to say 'It sure is" and not the other way around.

If anyone wants a vector trace of Hsienko (look at atached snapshot) or Magneto (see above) here are the links:

http://filebox.vt.edu/users/rspeer/arcade/hsienko.svg (http://filebox.vt.edu/users/rspeer/arcade/hsienko.svg)
http://filebox.vt.edu/users/rspeer/arcade/magneto.svg (http://filebox.vt.edu/users/rspeer/arcade/magneto.svg)

Probably best to right click and 'save as'.
