Title: Mame finding static pointers
Post by: Boomslang on June 04, 2018, 08:50:33 pm
Hi guys,

Doing a project at the moment to add force feedback to a few games and wanted to add Virtua Racing to a build etc but for the life of me I cannot find a static pointer for it in any mame version

Anyone messed with mame before and finding addresses? If i find the address and we will have ffb soon lol

Give me some guidance, I don't tend to struggle as much on other games for finding addresses

Good luck with this. Would be great to play Virtua Racing with FFB. I'd add Chase HQ, Outrunners and F1 Super Lap to the list.

FFB is the top, but please don't forget to add rumble too! I am still in the hope that rumble will be added to cannonball sometimes, which is FFB compliant instead

I think Chase HQ only ever had a spring centering system, I don't think it ever had FFB, so I don't thing there would be addresses for that.

I could be wrong about that though...

You're right about centering springs on Chase H.Q.

They are on page 23 of the manual here (https://www.arcade-museum.com/manuals-videogames/C/Chase%20HQ%20Electrocoin.pdf).
