I am of course trying to get two monitors to work while running GM .179 . GM works fine with numscreens 1 selected, but when I try to switch to 2, it crashes. Any ideas?
Win 7
I5
16 GB Ram
HS / Launchbox Frontend
D9800 monitor
LCD marquee Monitor

You posted 2 files but no proper useful log.
Anyway, there was a bug preventing multimonitor to work on older versions. Check the "what's new" in the main thread, and update accordingly. Remind only d3d9ex builds will work.

oops sorry, I will get you the correct log.

typed this in a shell mame64.exe -v dkong >dkong.txt
got this
Unable to create the Direct3D device (8876086C)
unable to initialize Direct 3D 9
Fatal error: Unable to complete window creation

Yeah, that's the old bug I mentioned. Update to a recent version.
(Regarding the log, after running that commabd you should find a dkong.txt file inside mame's folder, that's what you're supposed to attach next time)

Oh yeah Sorry, Here it is . Which version should I go up to ? It says switchres .017g fixed the problem . Does that mean I need the Latest version of GM?

I think that 0.194 was the first version with Switchres v0.017g. So GroovyMAME 0.194 or later should do the trick.
