On all Namco vert games, Pacman, Galaga etc. etc. the bottom of the screen is squashed and there's a weird white line across the bottom of the screen. I've attached pictures of the issue and res. I've tried on a couple of Groovy MAME builds up to 0.196 and face the same issue. ALL other vert games seem to work fine.

i was about to post about the same issue but i did used the search function first, i wonder if we can copy the resolutions from games like mr.do wich look nice and paste it on an ini file for pacman games so they look ok as mr do does, ios that posible? anyone that can help this newbies?

That looks odd, as if the monitor was mounted upside down (I've seen that issue many times but it was on the top).
Check if modifying this in mame.ini makes any difference:
monitor custom
crt_range0 15625-15750, 49.50-65.00, 2.000, 4.700, 8.000, 0.192, 0.192, 1.024, 0, 0, 192, 288, 448, 576

This didnt worked for me, so i did a bit of research and end up creating custom inis for all pacman games based on mr do or mikie resolutions and now the y look ok, not quite original but they fill the screen in a regular way. I also notice that the MK games have the same efect but on the bottom kind of like the problem this guys had http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=119627.0 (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=119627.0) so i did a custom ini as well but the game doesnt look right so i wonder if there are either custom ninis for mk games or perhaps i can add a mode to mame ini in order to fix them, i wich i could fix pacman games in another way too, thanks for any help.
