Are you saying this fixes the teknoparrot version or pc version? Didnt realize there was an issue with the PC version.

I've already got a fix for teknoparrot version @ 1080p
But yea pc version is fine already I thought
-
it is for the pc version. The sun and lens flare effects are missing for the Outrun 2 SP tracks. And this is the fix.

Boomslang....I have the Resolution Patcher as well as the Shadow Fix patch. I applied the resolution patcher at 1920x1080. How do you fix the bloom and sun effect in the TeknoParrot version of ORS2SPDLX? When the sun comes out it just whites out nearly the whole screen.

Ha! Awesome discovery. The lack of bloom has always been one of my biggest bugbears with the PC version of Outrun 2006 and it turns out they were in there the whole time! Man, Sumo may have knocked it out of the park with the console versions, but they seriously fumbled the ball with the PC port. So between Howard's FXT mod sorting the controls and FFB out and the bloom effects getting added back in, the PC version should be the best version now.

it looks like the draw distance is better in the PS3 and X360 Version( most obvious first Beach Track from Outrun 2 SP Sailor Ships pop ins) even the Lindbergh version has the problem.

Actually, it still doesn't look quite as nice as Outrun Online Arcade. Although the Bloom is now noticeable in the PC version in the bits where the sun is in the background, the bloom effect is immediately noticeable as soon as you start the stage (using the Legend stage as an example) in the PS3 version, whereas it still looks a bit drab on PC.

Nice work on finding this!

That's brilliant, I always thought it was just not there, not that it was simply an asset in the wrong folder!
Now, if there's any way to get the end animations (volcano, shuttle lift-off, etc) working, then that'd be amazing. I remember chap from Sumo saying they were big videos overlaid into the game; they were added to the PS2 Japanese port, not sure about others (presumably Outrun Online Arcade has them).

It does, although they lack sound effects for some reason.
