Hi, First time posting.
I have a CGA/VGA Jamma 48/1 Classical Game Collection. When I power it on with all DIP switches off it should allow the game selection and playing. However, it is just frozen in the wake up screen/demo. Joystick, P1, P2, Button1,2 do nothing. I can set DIP 4 to the ON and go through the whole selection screens. Even in the IO test screen every button, direction, and DIP switches show they work. But when I turn off the set up and boot up in play mode it's stuck again.
Any suggestions?

Coin it up or set it to free play

Hi, it was already set for free play

Have you checked your voltages? Does the background music play?

Thanks for the tips/suggestions so far. I wanted to add that this unit had worked for years. Then one day - when it boots up in play mode no controls work.
The backround music did work before. I can hear it in the set up for volume control. And I'm sorry - I don't know how to check the voltages

You need a multi meter to check the voltages, but if it was working (and you haven't messed with anything), chances are it's become faulty. You can get the 60-in-1 one boards pretty cheaply now, though.

Eureka. I have no idea how the DIP switched got reset. But somehow the FREE Play option got turned off and since there isn't a coin operation it was dead. I went through the set up and got everything set up again and eureka it works again.
Thanks so much for your suggestions / tips / help with this. Just in time for my birthday party. Thanks!!!!
