Title: Ideas to make a variable LCD size mounting..?
Post by: Miramar on May 07, 2018, 06:35:24 am
Hi, i'm new to the forum and i'm building my first arcade machine. I'd like to know some ideas/solutions to the problem that i'm facing.

I have an extra 24 monitor that i don't use (at the moment) and i'm going to temporally use it on my cab (until i can afford a 32 LCD TV). I wanna know how to aprouch on this. I'd like to make some universal mount place that i can use when i replace the monitor (and in the future when the tv's dies).

Thanks in advance!

Most LCDs already have a universal mount system on them called a VESA mount. The do come in slightly different sizes but the mount brackets themselves usually have multiple hole spacings on them to accommodate multiple monitor sizes.

So basically you don't need to do anything but get a VESA mount for your monitor.

Just google it.

What games are you planning on playing? A widescreen LCD might not be a good choice for you.

Cut holes in board to vesa specifications. Most modern lcd have vesa mounting holes on the back.
