The bartop is a small 1-player, only about 10 inches wide. The mdf I'm using for top of cab & bottom of marquee is 1/4" (5mm). It's been hard to find a good option because of the smaller scale. Also need to figure a solution for supporting my bezel plexi. Maybe just screwing into thin wood supports?

You are going to want a pair of marquee retainers:

They typically come in a 2 pack, one of the top of the marquee, one for the bottom. These are typically made for a full size cabinet but they should still work just fine for a bartop. They are plastic so you simply cut them to length (10 inches in your case) and then simply drill a few screws through them to mount them in place. Couldn't be easier. Also they are very affordable.

I like to use angled aluminum. Its easy to work with (use the same tools you would for wood) and its readily available at your local home improvement stores.
