Title: Where to position LEDs behind my Marquee?

I have an LED strip that I obviously want to position behind my marqee.

I've lined the space around it with foil so hopefully should reflect well, but where exactly do I want to place the LED strips - do I want them directly behind (it's about 30-40cm back) or do I want them underneath to utilise the reflected light?

Have them set back from the marquee pointing away from it so the reflector throws the light back at it in a even fashion.

Also, If you use speakers in your marquee box, be sure to take this into account. I positioned my led lights higher at a 45 degree angle because of this. You don't want any unintended outlines. Tape your marquee in place to test.
