Hi folks. It's been awhile since I posted, but I'm readying another cabinet of mine, and I noticed that the Dynamo control panel I have is drilled but not for zippy sticks. I found a universal adapter plate on kickstarter but it's sold out everywhere. Are there alternatives that I could use? I would prefer to not drill any more holes in the panel.

How about this one from Paradise Arcade Shop?

Why don't you just throw the Zippy in the trash and buy the proper joystick? That is a better solution.
-
I just might. What do you recommend for lollipop sticks that fit a dynamo panel?
-
I can dig for you, but I don't know off the top of my head. I just know that 7+ dollars for an adapter plate so you can use a crappy joystick is not the best idea.
Hopefully someone who knows more than me will chime in with an answer.

Some vendors sell happ sticks with bubble tops, those fit your cabinet hole pattern.

The super is the stick I like to suggest the most for Mame cabinets. It has round movement pattern and takes a medium amount of force to use, making them suitable for playing a wide variety of games. They also last longer than Ultimates or Comps, but that doesn't matter as much since you are never going to wear out a new happ stick in home use.

Focus Attack has adapter plates as well:

Personally, I'd go with a genuine Sanwa JLF joystick and the adapter plate. You can't cheap out on controls. It will be worth it.

Not pretty, but I made my own adapter plate using one of these electrical box cover plates with the hole in the center. Bought one at Lowes for a buck and drilled out the holes.

You could always 3D print something, like I did for this project.

How did you bend it though?
